Wem USC were the winners of the Barry and Lynne Jennings Trophy as they beat Pontesbury by 9 on Old Shrewsbury No. 2 green.
There was little to chose between the two teams at the start as games were shared, Mo Corley 21-9 and Barrie Thomas 21-11 for the United Services and Sue Potter 21-7 and Den Walton 21-9 for Pontesbury. Wem USC took the initiative in the middle with three winners, Anne Breakwell best with 21-10 and finished off taking the last two games, young Jacob Brookes picking the Player of the Match award with 21-17.
Barry Jennings presented the trophy to Wem USC Captain, Myles Fisher, and the Player of the Match award to Jacob.
