The Wem & District Bowling League was founded in 1995 by Peter Broadhurst and a small committee to encourage bowlers of all abilities. While bowling is a competitive sport, the league promotes a friendly atmosphere, allowing members to enjoy the game for pleasure. It remains a popular social outing, especially on warm summer evenings.
