2024 Elizabeth Taylor Shield
The delayed Elizabeth Taylor Shield was held at the end of April 2025 on the No. 2 Green and Prince of Wales Hotel came out on top in this match by 35 against Battlefield.
The Lions came out strong and took a 15 chalk lead off the front with Derek Shingler 21-10, Roger Whitfield 21-16 and Ian Foster 21-18 as they won three of the first four, but it was all the Prince from thereon with Tom Carr helping to nose them in front in the middle 21-10. Player of the Match, Neal Newbrook, recovered from 6-0 down to add a 21-9 card for the Prince as they led by 18 going into the back two. Ian Payne 21-11 and Rich Carr 21-14 rounded off a comfortable win.
