Albert Road Exiles were the winners of the Barry Jennings Cup as they overcame Meole Brace C by a comfortable 29 on Old Shrewsbury No. 2 Green.
Player of the Match, Martin Ryan, gave the Exiles a great start with 21-8 but it was still tight after the first four, with just three chalks in it. The Exiles then took three in the middle and increased their lead to 22. Emmet Mckinley confirmed the win with 21-12 and then David Bates and John Davies had an epic final game, John eventually winning 21-19.
